#15Filipe Dutra

Filipe started the season in a defensive midfield role in 2017, making his long-awaited debut in a 2-0 away to New York Athletic Club as he played 64 minutes.  He suffered and injury in the U.S. Open Cup, in which he played in both matches against Western Mass Pioneers and GPS Omens.

Filipe returned and established himself as a makeshift forward, pushing into the striker role due to injuries.  He scored in a 2-1 loss away to TSF then scored again and assisted on a goal away to the Rhode Island Reds in a 3-1 win.  He played a total of 734 minutes in 2017.

Filipe was the youngest member of the Boston City FC squad in 2017.  The tall central defender played for the varsity soccer team in his hometown Naugatuck High School in Connecticut.  He has also played for the Connecticut Rush.

International clearance issues kept him out of the first team in the NPSL campaign and he made one appearance in 2016, in a friendly match against the New England Revolution Under 23s.
