Roster 2017

#9Jhonata Batista

Jhonata earned a reputation for chasing every loose ball in the Lions’ cause and was a constant threat up front, scoring two goals and jointly leading the team with four assists.  He scored the winner in a 2-1 victory away to Seacoast United Mariners and scored the first goal in an historic 3-2 win away to the New York Cosmos B.  His season was cut short by a broken ankle, suffered in the opening minutes of a home win over the Mariners.

Jhonata played in junior football academies in his native Brazil and at college at Mount San Antonio. He played for Olympic United and Corinthians USA in California and for one season in the PDL. “I played for Palhinha before and he invited me to come here and be a part of Boston City FC. The team is growing and this is a good opportunity for me and I see this as a big window to show people what I can do.”
