Boston City FC II Opens BSSL Season On The Road

Having recorded a 2-1 win in the first competitive match of the season in the McKenzie Cup last weekend, Boston City FC II turn their attentions to the Bay State Soccer League North this Saturday.

The Lions will travel to Lynnfield Legends at 11am on April 6 aiming to take the first steps towards a promotion to Division 2 that narrowly eluded the young development squad last year. The match will be played at Lynnfield High School, field 2.

Coach Cesar Deossa saw his side upset Mystic River, a team a division higher in the BSSL structure, last week with goals from Mateus Araujo and Jhonata Batista.

Boston City FC II are still without Samuel Deossa, Chris Gilbert and Jeremy Pachter, who are currently training at the club’s academy in Brazil.

New Boston City FC head coach Michael Bustamante will run the rule over the team, with places still available for the club’s National Premier Soccer League first team.
