This Thursday, March 4th, the FMF drew the groups from the first phase of the tournament. Boston City FC Brasil is in Group C, alongside Cruzeiro, Betim, Serranense and Atlético Clube Três Corações. It is worth mentioning that, initially, the 20 teams are divided into four groups and play each other, in a home and away games. The top two teams from each bracket advance to the quarterfinals.

Boston City FC Brasil CEO Renato Valentim said he was very happy with the U-20 team’s return to an official competition, but he stressed that the club continues vigilant in regards to the spread of Covid-19.

“We were one of the few clubs that stopped all activities during the pandemic. At Boston City FC, we praise for everyone’s life, both in the USA and in Brazil. We know that the situation is not the best in the country, but we hope that things will improve in the next couple months before the competition starts. We will have an year full of challenges and several precautions will be taken. We hope to continue our project, which, despite being new, it is already very successful “, said Mr. Valentim.
